Joe DiBenedetto

Senior Director

Joe DiBenedetto joined Lambert in 2007, specializing in education, B-to-C, technology, nonprofit, social services and issues management. A veteran practitioner, Joe’s areas of expertise include media relations, cause marketing and crisis management, among others. In his role as senior director, he has managed teams supporting the nation’s largest: franchise moving company, charter school management company and adoption agency.

One of Joe’s biggest accomplishments was developing the award-winning Movers for Moms program, a cause marketing campaign created for the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK moving company. The Movers for Moms program collected essential items for donation to domestic abuse victims on Mother’s Day. After several years of growth across Michigan, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK and Lambert, under Joe’s leadership, launched Movers for Moms across the country. In the program’s last year, more than 115 franchise locations in 31 states collected over 215,000 items for donation to 125 women’s shelters, while more than 7,500 media hits were generated for the moving company’s signature brand-building, community relations program.

Joe has nearly two decades of education-related experience, ranging from preschools to universities, developed in his time at Lambert and, prior to that, at New York-based Zimmerman/Edelson, where he supported public school districts and municipalities throughout New York. In his time with Lambert, Joe has led the team dedicated to local market PR efforts for National Heritage Academies and its network of public charter schools – helping increase the number of media hits for the charter school operator from 200 to nearly 3,000 in just four years.

Passionate about supporting organizations making a positive impact on the community, Joe served as a board member with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s West Michigan Chapter for six years, leading the organization’s communications committee. Presently, he donates his time and services to the YWCA of Central West Michigan.

A graduate of Hofstra University, Joe earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a minor in speech.
