Joanne Lessner has been a Managing Director at Lambert since 2018 when the firm acquired her previous employer, Owen Blicksilver Public Relations. Joanne divides her time between the Capital Markets and Education & Social Impact teams, providing strategic communications counsel and coordinating media relations for lower middle market private equity firms and their range of portfolio companies, as well as for education, arts and municipal nonprofits.

Before joining Blicksilver PR in 2006, Joanne was Senior Media Manager at Miller DeMartine Group, where she built a strong network of relationships with financial services and trade media. She began her career at the corporate and financial public relations firm of Ogilvy Adams & Rinehart, before moving on to The Maloney Group, where, in addition to conducting media outreach and coordinating field research, she edited PS Style Magazine. She served as project manager for Global Ionics’ launch of the Ionic ProClean Toothbrush, authored the written materials for a major museum installation for MJM Creative Services, and freelanced as a writer and editor for Thomson Financial Publishing, Kaplan Publishing, and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE).

Joanne is also the author of five published novels and is a regular contributor of reviews and features to Opera News. She holds a B.A. in Music, summa cum laude, from Yale University.
