I can hardly believe it is time to share a mid-year report, but I am so proud of my tenacious colleagues for all the hard work they’ve done on behalf of our clients and community. Through every season–whether navigating through sunshine or rain–the thing that remains consistent is our team-based culture.

Here’s a recap of some of our amazing accomplishments from the first half of 2021:

JANUARY

  • Lambert is featured as Michigan’s leading agency by PR Week
  • Walter Ward, III joins Lambert as Chief of Staff

FEBRUARY

  • Our education team created and launched an Enrollment Communications Playbook to help administrators and superintendents navigate through this year’s challenges
  • Capital Markets Cocktails met for an impromptu conversation to discuss Gamestop’s short squeeze debate
  • Consumer Products Group Chair, Matt Jackson was featured in an article by RetailWire to discuss the future of big food brands turning to home-delivered meals to drive growth

MARCH

  • Angela Klinske joins Lambert to lead our healthcare practice from Trinity Health
  • Jeff Lambert joins the Xtreme Fighting Champions’ board of directors
  • ABA banking Journal calls on Lambert for virtual annual meeting tips

APRIL

  • Brent Snavely was featured in PR Week to discuss Volkswagen’s April Fools prank
  • A number of our team members received well-deserved promotions: Kate Croft to Senior Director, Olivia Lake to Senior Associate, Darby Dame to Manager, Elise Pelletier to Manager, Gabe Gonzaga to Senior Associate, Josh Skalniak to Senior Manager, and Maria DeGroot to Manager

MAY

  • Mike Houston was named a firm partner
  • I penned an op-ed with PR Week reflecting on one-year post the death of George Floyd
  • Brent Snavely proves once again why he’s our resident auto expert and was featured in an article regarding President Biden’s Ford F-150 test drive
  • Cornell Hazelton joins Lambert as a Managing Director

JUNE

  • The Diversity Action Alliance recognized Jeff Lambert as an Outstanding DEI Champion, Ally and me as a Young Champion
  • Managing Director, Michelle Olson was named a Top Woman in PR by PRNEWS Recognized as an Industry Innovator honoree, this is the second consecutive year Michelle has been honored by this program
  • Our Automotive & Mobility team hosted its first Automotive Media Roundtable of the year: What’s Driving the EV Revolution
  • Owen Blicksilver was named to the board of directors of the Asia Times
  • Mike Houston was honored by the National Investor Relations Institute as a member of the 2021 Class of 40 Under 40
  • Another round of team members were recognized with promotions and role changes to reflect the growth and evolution of the firm: Jeff Tryka to Managing Director, Kim Pace to Director, Megan McCarl to Director, Ryan Gajewski to Director of Digital Content Strategy, Katie Englishmen to Director of Paid Digital, Brenda Duong to Senior Manager, Rachel Felice to Manager, and Jeremy Witt to Senior Associate

As you can see, we’ve had an amazing first half of 2021. We’re looking forward to ending the year on a high-note while making things happen for our clients and our communities!
