GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Sept. 25, 2017 – Lambert, one of Michigan’s top-ranked public relations agencies and the state’s largest investor relations and public affairs firm, today announced the promotions of Heather Lombardini to senior director, Sawyer Lipari to director and Valerie Pesonen to senior associate.

Lombardini joined the Sterling Corporation, a division of Lambert, in 2015 and currently manages the firm’s fundraising practice. She handles everything from event planning and campaign strategy to donor relations and PAC solicitation for our clients. Her knowledge of political fundraising strategies and relationships with legislators and business leaders throughout the state has helped Sterling set fundraising records for the Michigan Senate Republican Campaign Committee.
Lombardini has been elected a GOP Precinct Delegate for most of her adult life, serves as a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and also does extensive pro-bono work for political candidates and non-profit organizations. She received her bachelor’s degree from Aquinas College, earning double majors in political science and communications, as well as a master’s degree in public administration from Western Michigan University.

Since joining Lambert in 2016, Lipari has supported clients in a variety of accounts including healthcare, consumer, education and nonprofit. She leads a number of the firm’s public relations efforts, marketing initiatives and communication strategies based on her previous experience in the non-profit sector as well as with health and wellness, hospitality, fashion and entertainment brands.

She is also involved in pro-bono work with the Michigan Humane Society in Detroit and the Detroit Institute of Arts. Lipari holds a bachelor’s degree in strategic marketing and communications with a minor in Spanish from University of Richmond in Virginia.

Pesonen joined Lambert in 2013 and works with a wide range of industries, including food and beverage, non-profit, pharmaceutical and education. She provides day-to-day account support for national, regional and local clients by assisting in new product launches, coordinating and managing events throughout the country, conceptualizing media outreach strategies and forming relationships with key contacts.

She is actively involved in the Grand Rapids community as a member of the Heartside Business Association Board. Pesonen holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising from Grand Valley State University.
