Mike Houston is President of Lambert, a national public relations and investor relations firm with offices in Detroit, Grand Rapids, Lansing, Phoenix, Houston and St. Louis. The award-winning firm works with clients ranging from global brands to emerging leaders in a variety of industries including automotive and mobility, consumer, education, financial and business, food and beverage and healthcare and biotech. He brings a balanced financial and marketing perspective to the firm, with more than a decade of experience in investor relations, marketing, sales strategy, product development and corporate communications. He provides counsel and strategy to Lambert’s internal teams and clients on a number of topics ranging from M&A, governance and shareholder issues.
Before joining Lambert, Mike served first as the Vice President of Investor Relations and Vice President of Commercialization, leading all sales, marketing, and communications strategies at Amedica Corporation. Additionally, he was responsible for the company’s product and business development efforts for leading OEM’s and private label deals valued at more than $50 million annually. During his tenure, he implemented robust internal and external communications strategies during a variety of equity offerings and balance sheet improvements and reconstructed a national sales team to increase independent distributorships by more than 200%, while revamping the entire marketing and advertising efforts to increase hospital and surgeon engagement.
Mike also previously led the investor relations activities at Ancestry, the global leader in family history and consumer genomics. At Ancestry, he managed the corporate communications and public relations efforts related to AncestryDNA, a unique direct-to-consumer DNA test. He developed and led the communications strategy which led to a broad array of consumer and science media placements. During his tenure, the AncestryDNA test experienced significant sales growth and hundreds of millions of impressions, with placement on several popular talk shows and broadcast outlets.
Mike earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a focus in finance from the University of Utah. He is also a member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) and was honored as one of NIRI’s top 30 IR professionals under 40 in 2021.

Fun Fact
Mike loves to cycle and ski and has participated several times in the longest one-day, USAC-sanctioned bicycle race in the country. At 200+ miles, cyclists must conquer three mountain passes that stretch through the scenic terrain of Utah, Idaho and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.
