Beginning as an Associate at Lambert nearly two decades ago, Mike now leads the firm’s entire operations, including its investor relations, public relations, and integrated marketing strategies. He brings a balanced financial and marketing perspective to the firm, with nearly twenty years of experience in investor relations, marketing, sales strategy, product development and corporate communications. He provides counsel and strategy on a number of topics ranging from M&A, sustainability, governance and retail shareholder engagement for publicly held and private emerging growth companies, as well as a variety of private equity and venture capital funds.
Before rejoining Lambert, Mike served as the Vice President of Commercialization, leading all sales, marketing, and communications strategies at Amedica Corporation, a previously publicly traded medical device and novel biomaterial company. During his tenure, he implemented robust internal and external communications strategies during a variety of equity offerings and balance sheet improvements. He also reconstructed national sales and marketing teams to increase independent distributorships by more than 200%, while revamping the entire marketing and advertising efforts which led to a transformation in hospital and surgeon engagement.
Mike also previously led the investor relations activities at Ancestry, the global leader in family history and consumer genomics, as the company was seeking to go public through a traditional IPO. At Ancestry, he managed the corporate communications and public relations efforts related to AncestryDNA, a unique direct-to-consumer DNA test. He developed and led the communications strategy which led to a broad array of consumer and science media placements. During his tenure, the AncestryDNA test experienced significant sales growth and hundreds of millions of impressions, with placement on several popular talk shows and broadcast outlets.
