Valerie Pesonen is a senior associate at Lambert. In her six years with the firm, Valerie has worked with a variety of clients and industries, including food and beverage, nonprofit, healthcare, and education. Valerie’s role includes local, regional and national media relations, traditional and digital content development, event planning and support, developing creative story angles and researching new opportunities for clients to expand awareness and drive sales.
During her time at Lambert, Valerie has led client strategy and support for national, regional and local brands by assisting in new product launches, coordinating and managing events throughout the country, conceptualizing media outreach efforts and forming relationships with key contacts. Valerie has secured a variety of national media placements in outlets such as The New York Times, Associated Press and ABC. Valerie’s passion is immersing herself in the industry or culture of each client to provide relevant strategy and targeted communications support.
Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising from Grand Valley State University. She is actively involved in the Grand Rapids community as a board member of the Heartside Business Association.
