Sandra’s natural curiosity and passion for new experiences have powered a more than 25-year journalism career that has introduced her to a wide variety of interesting people, places and world events.
While she knew from a young age that she wanted to work in the news business, she soon realized after graduating from University of Arizona that her love of writing and storytelling made producing a better fit than television reporting. Selecting stories of impact, then molding scripts and finding the right visuals to make a story come to life fed Sandra’s desire to inform and engage viewers.
Tucson, Denver and Phoenix all offered Sandra opportunities to sharpen her skills as an award-winning newscast producer and newsroom leader. Eventually, her interest in mentoring and teaching led to management. Starting as the AM executive producer and launching the first version of FOX10 Arizona Morning in Phoenix, Sandra helped establish a morning news brand that still dominates more than 20 years later.
That experience propelled Sandra into several other management positions, including the assistant news director at FOX10 Phoenix, as well as senior executive producer, and ultimately news director, at NBC-affiliate, 12 News in Phoenix. Along the way, Sandra has also held communication positions at the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality and tech giant GoDaddy, based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Sandra now puts her passion for people and storytelling to work at Lambert, as senior director of Brand Journalism, she leads a team specializing in multi-platform content marketing and brand journalism stories that help brands emotionally connect with their customers and other key stakeholders.
