Amanda Niswonger joined Lambert in November 2014 and is responsible for providing public relations and media relations support to Lambert’s clients. Amanda is an integral member of a number of Tier 1 Automotive Supplier account teams, including Continental Automotive Systems North America, International Automotive Components (IAC) and Axalta Coating Systems. She also supports technology and non-profit clients, such as Hirschmann Solutions, Goodwill Industries of Greater Detroit, Downtown Detroit Partnership and the Michigan Credit Union League.
Amanda provides extensive media relations, corporate communications, internal communications and digital media management assistance. She provided communications support for the grand openings of more than seven IAC facilities in the past year, which included project management, national and international media relations and social media content management. She also supported Detroit Homecoming, a Crain’s Detroit Business event drawing more than 150 Detroit expatriates back to the city to reconnect and reinvest. Amanda is a member of Detroit Young Professionals, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development of the next generation of Metro Detroit leaders.
Prior to joining Lambert, Amanda worked at BRTRC Federal Solutions, where she served as the Public Relations Specialist for her client, U.S. Army Tank Automotive Research, Development and Engineering Center (TARDEC). During her time at TARDEC, she was responsible for the development, implementation and promotion of the organization’s communication strategies. Prior to that, she held an internship with Beaumont Hospital’s Foundation in Royal Oak, where she assisted in the planning and execution of various Children’s Hospital fundraising events and managed the marketing video for Beaumont Hospital’s Children’s Miracle Network.
Amanda earned her bachelor’s degree in communication and marketing from Saginaw Valley State University in 2013. While at SVSU, Amanda was the student leadership and events coordinator for the University, as well as the events chair for Lambda Pi Eta, a communications honor society.
