Challenge:

The CDC Foundation Center for Non-Infectious Diseases hired us for a series of projects involving writing a long-form article for publication, media pitching, market research, the translation of non-infectious disease research to business/Human Resources audiences, key message development and the design creative pieces for digital and social media.

Tactics and Strategy:

  • Created a message testing brief to summarize the study for both internal CDC audiences and public health workers at local health departments.
  • Conducted focus groups with audiences to determine the effectiveness of the message testing brief.
  • In another study done for them, we tested HR executives and directors with various key messages related to COVID-19 and chronic disease management.

Results that matter.

Upon the completion of two separate research projects, CDC Foundation needed assistance disseminating the findings to targeted audiences in the business sector and in public health. We wrote and successfully placed a feature story for a major human resources publication describing the results of a worksite wellness program, and steps HR professionals could take to reduce chronic disease burden among their employees.
