Valerie Pesonen serves as an associate at Lambert and works with a wide range of clients spanning numerous industries, including food and beverage, nonprofit, pharmaceutical, and education. Valerie’s role includes local, regional and national media relations, traditional and digital content development, event planning and support, developing creative story angles and researching new opportunities for clients to expand awareness and drive sales.
During her time at Lambert, Valerie has provided day-to-day account support for national, regional and local brands by assisting in new product launches, coordinating and managing events throughout the country, conceptualizing media outreach strategies and forming relationships with key contacts. Valerie has secured a variety of national media placements in outlets such as InStyle, Southern Lady and The Huffington Post. Valerie immerses herself in the industry or culture of each client in order to provide relevant and targeted communications support.
Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and advertising from Grand Valley State University. She is actively involved in the Grand Rapids community as a member of the Heartside Business Association and through her volunteer work on the planning committee for Man & Woman of the Year for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Valerie was homeschooled until 9th grade.
