Jeff Gaunt joined Lambert as a director in 2018, bringing more than a decade of experience in strategic communications, crisis and reputation management, and media relations. A former journalist, Jeff has specialized in helping executives and companies manage their brands and reputations before, during and after corporate crises and long-term issues. His broad industry experience allows him to work closely with a wide variety of clients to rapidly develop thoughtful and impactful communications strategies. His strategies and tools have been used by companies around the world to effectively manage issues and mitigate crises.
Jeff began his career as a reporter with a daily newspaper in the Chicago area, and then served as a political campaign manager, analyst and speechwriter in the Illinois State Senate. In 2010, he moved to Thailand to work as a foreign media adviser for the Thai prime minister. After returning to the United States, he oversaw internal and external communications for an urban school district in Central Illinois. Most recently, he served as an adviser and trainer to Fortune 500 executives, business owners and leaders around the world for a nationally recognized strategic communications and crisis management firm.
Jeff earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism in Evanston, Illinois.
Jeff lived in Thailand during the filming of Hangover 2. Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis and he attended a speech by former president Bill Clinton. (He didn’t say ‘hi’…).
