Bob Burton joined Lambert in 2011 following seven years as the principal at IR Squared, an investor relations practice in Atlanta. Bob has 32 years of experience in investor relations and corporate communications, following eight years as a practicing journalist. He has extensive experience in corporate strategy, brand building, disclosure and compliance, crisis communications, and creating and implementing an investor relations infrastructure.
Bob has headed investor relations departments at five NYSE-listed companies with market capitalizations from $600 million to over $100 billion, including The Home Depot, Kmart, U.S. Shoe, Penn Central and Insilco Corporation. His investor relations experience involves working with clients in retailing (hardlines, general merchandise, apparel, footwear and optical), insurance, manufacturing, rental services, travel, defense, energy, housing, and technology businesses.
Bob has worked with IPO clients included IAC, TRX, Gander Mountain and Red Prairie. He has hands-on experience in managing corporate challenges such as initial public offerings, introducing new management, repositioning corporate strategy, turnarounds, acquisition and divestiture, balance sheet recapitalization, shareholder proxy fights, and hostile tender offers.
Bob received his MBA from the University of Connecticut and recently completed a four-year term as a board member of the National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI).
Bob is a avid Squash player. competing in age group singles and doubles tournaments across the country.
